For sale is a complete classic Hewlett Packard HP 85107A Microwave Vector Network Analyzer System.

The system consists of an HP 8510B Network Analyzer, HP 8516A 45 MHz–40 GHz S-Parameter Test Set, and HP 8341B 10 MHz–20 GHz Synthesized Sweeper, installed in the original system cabinet.

Important frequency information

The 8516A test set itself supports measurements up to 40 GHz.

However, the included HP 8341B source operates up to 20 GHz. Therefore, the usable measurement frequency of this particular configuration is limited by the installed source to approximately 20 GHz.

The 8516A may be used up to its 40 GHz capability when the system is configured with a suitable higher-frequency RF source.

History

According to the previous institutional owner, the system was originally acquired in approximately 1988/1989 and was previously used at a university research facility.

Condition

Used laboratory equipment with age-related cosmetic wear, minor scratches, marks and discoloration.

The system powers on.

The HP 8510B CRT display operates and displays a measurement trace as shown in the photographs.

The system components power up; however, complete RF performance, measurement accuracy and calibration have not been fully verified.
